1.Nationals-They keep winning and playing well, started the west coast swing sweeping the Giants and now face the A’s and Dodgers in a big series next.
2.Dodgers-1st place now in the West and the team is playing as they should, they are starting to find their groove
3.Dbacks-They keep playing well and staying right in the mix, good pitching lead by Zach Greinke and their hitting (Chris Ownings and Paul Goldschmidt) has been good this season
1.NL Central-The Brewers who are 3-7 in their last 10 are in 1st, thats how bad this division is, the Cardinals are in 2nd and struggling while the Cubs are horrid losing 6 in a row the good news they are back at Wrigley Friday and face the Cardinals in a huge series.
2.Giants-Just when you thought they were getting better, they fall apart. With no Baumgarner any time soon and the under performance of Posey unless it changes a long season is on the horizon
3.Cubs-Last season seems like a memory,Rizzo is struggling, their starting pitching is weak. They still have a chance in a weak division
1.Astros-They went into Minnesota and swept away the Twins easily, good hitting (George Springer) and pitching (Dallas Kuetchel) makes them tough and now they head to Arlington to meet their rivals the Rangers.
2.Yankees-Started off their big week taking 2 out of 3 from the Orioles and now head to Toronto who is starting to heat up for 4 games.
3.Red Sox-They have started to play as expected, their pitching is getting better and they have the hitters to make some noise (Hanley, Ramirez, Xander Bogarts and Mookie Betts)
1.Twins-They can hit the ball well with Miguel Sano and Brian Dozier playing well but, their bullpen is atrocious and that hurts them, they head on a 10 game west swing (Angels, A’s and Mariners)
2.Orioles-They have ran into a speed bump, the Yankees beat them 2 out of 3 and now they get the Red Sox who can pass them soon, they need their pitching to be better.
3.Rangers-Their good start is gone, same as Baltimore their pitching has been bad.
