WBC Scores 3/10

Colombia 2-3 USA 10 Innings

Colombia-They played a great game, their pitching was better than expected, they actually had a 2-0 lead at one time after Colombia scored 2 runs on back to back doubles by Adrian Sanchez and Maurico Ramos, Colombia had chances after that but, could not score

USA- Not an impressive performance at all, their pitching was good other than Mychal Givens who gave up the runs, Chris Archer who started was superb as well as their bullpen, the big hit was by Andrew Jones who  had 2 hits and both hits scored 1 run each time.

Turning Point-

1.Andrew Jones’ single in the 10th scored Christian Yelich for the win.

2.Pat Neshak pitches out of a jam in the 9th with runners on 1 and 3rd.

Up Next-

Saturday- USA vs Dominican Rep. 7pm and Colombia vs Canada Noon Both on MLB Net.

Venezuela 0-11 Puerto Rico

Venezuela- I do not think they exepcted Felix Hernandez to get shelled (he gave up 2 runs in the 2nd and left with the bases loaded), they could not get themselves going after being down early, they have Italy at 3pm so its a short break between games.

PR-They came out fast took an early lead and never looked back,6 runs in the 7th ended the game

Turning Point-

1.The fast start for PR was the game setter scoring 2 runs in the 1st ( a T.J.Rivera sac fly and a Carlos Beltran walk with the bases loaded)

Up Next-

Saturday-Venezuela vs Italy 3pm and Puerto Rico vs Mexico 10pm Both on MLB Net.
